I really like the center console instead of the center folding seat console deal that I have (although when my dad and step mom came down, I could get 6 people in the truck). Either way I am good. I don't have Nav but kind of wish I had it. Of course I have Sync and also an iPhone so what do I really need it for!? Still wish I had it at times though. If I changed anything I would have ordered a King Ranch just because lol. I love my truck though.
I think my favorite part of the Nav system is the Sirius travel link. We travel a lot, so it helps then of course, but even when you're in an unfamiliar part of town close to home it's useful. The traffic alerts, weather map, and (most useful of all) live fuel prices are all features I'm really glad that I have. I know there are android or iphone apps for almost all of that... but being able to hit a few buttons on the dash and have it guide me to the closest station that has diesel... awesome.
Mine was only the second '11 my dealer had ordered, so we were both learning.
I got the F350 SC Lariat and then added nearly every possible option left, partly because just once in my life I wanted to have a truck with everything.
The only thing I'm sorry I didn't get--because you can't on the SC, only on the CC--is the 120VAC power outlet, but since it's only 150W, I'm not too sorry about it, and I'll just add my own larger converter sooner or later just as I did on the last two trucks.
The only thing I'm sort of sorry I got is the tailgate step and flagpole, because the bumpy tailgate makes sliding heavy things in/out a pain, but the step is really handy for my old worn out knees. My dealer almost always adds them to his stock orders because of the high number of old customers he has, so he talked me into adding it to mine. My fix to the bumpy tailgate is a rubber mat thrown over it when needed.
The backup sensors and camera were a must, because I got used to it with the last truck, and on the rare occasions when my wife drives the truck, its even more of a must. DAMHIKT.
I missed out on cab lights and the LCD in the dash.
I wish I had the cab lights, but I've talked myself out of the LCD because knowing my luck it would be the very first thing to break outside of warranty and probably cost big $$$ to replace.
I bought my F350 Lariat CC SB FX4 off the lot. It has been a good choice so far. If I would have ordered a truck, cab lights and a center console interior would be my only additions. I would not have ordered the FX4 package
Forgot to add, as part of the interior package (if I remember correctly) I would have never ordered the adjustable gas/brake pedal. My wife (<5' tall) now thinks that she wants to drive the truck to the grocery store, beauty salon, etc. She never drove the '05 F-150 but....
Waited 14 weeks for my baby to be made to my specs. No regrets at all. Love everything I ordered and it has everything except the king ranch interior.
The back up sensors saved my butt last weekend when I was backing up to my 5'er for hook up. I was staring at the camera so hard following the runway line-up marks that it didn't even dawn on me that the camera only shows your camper when the tailgate was still up! Came within a few inches of falling for the fifth wheeler's most common hook-up/unhooking mistake.....
Love the fifth wheel prep package and Ford hitch.... Love the factory bed liner.....Love all the electronic displays and sound system..... moon roof I haven't used but 4~5 times so I guess that could have been left out if I could break down the Ultimate package into piece parts....
You say there are pedal adjusters??? How have I missed using that on my truck?

Good topic!

Thanks Thom,
The button is on the lower left side of the steering column. If you open the drivers door, stand outside and just look at the column you will see it.
I also ordered mine, thought I had everything I wanted. Then once it was too late I realized I forgot the the flipping rear sway bar. Oops I guess, that can be remedied by the aftermarket here soon or even call the Ford shop and get one.
Other than that it has been great smile every day I get in the beast. I really hope that Ford really stepped up as they were saying they did. I don't need another 6.4 fiasco.
5200+miles still no problems or down to the 800 miles D.E.F. warning fill. Trying to see how far a tank of that junk will last. Got 5 gallons here the other day for 20 bucks so not to bad on price I guess.
Thanks Thom,

There's another bonus on the pedal adjusters. They work with the seat program button as well. Get everything set the way you want and press and hold the seat memory button on the driver's door. Then let your wife set her's up on #2. My wife and my new 16 year old daughter driver use the #2 button.
I ordered mine and I didn't order the FX4 package but did order the skid plates???? Kind of stupid after I thought about it because I wasn't looking to save dollars, I just figured I probably wouldn't be wheeling this brute much so what was the point. Resale might have made a difference but I won't be selling this for years. I think I should have ordered the moon roof and clearance lights, but I live in a rain forest and I was concerned about having holes in my roof. I've had leaks in other trucks. Ordered the 20' wheels so I couldn't get the camper special which means no rear sway bar. I will be remedying this soon. $600 for a sway bar or $3000 for after market tires and wheels. Almost ordered the front seat over the console, glad my buddy talked me into the console. Finishes the interior IMO. Pretty much got everything I wanted but when it comes down to it I probably should have ordered the FX4 cause at least you can remove those ugly stickers. Why do those that ordered the FX4 say it was a mistake?
The handle does make for a uneven tail gate which can be a pain at times.
I also would have made it a 350. The 250 rides so good I think an upgrade to 350 still would ride pretty darn nice.
I didn't know you could order just the step and not the handle. Gonna have to look into that, and I'm willing to buy a flat panel for the tailgate if that's all it takes to fix the bump.
The 350 is a stiffer ride than the 250, particularly with the FX4 package (which is, I guess, why some guys are saying they wish they hadn't ordered the FX4).
Still, I think the 350 is definitely the way to go. I had driven 350s for 20 years before getting an '05 250, and it was a huge mistake for me to downgrade (along with the 6.0 in the '05 being a huge mistake, but that's another story).
I never could get used to the reduced load capacity in the 250 compared to the 350 and was always a couple of hundred over the GVWR or worse yet, well over it, and having to remove or re-position load in truck and trailer (I always roll over a scale before leaving on any interstate trip and I make a lot of them). Just did a 2K mile trip with 2500 lbs of load in the new 350 and still had 1000+ lbs of headroom. That would have been right at the GVWR of the '05 250. Ride was much better than unladen, but still not as good as my '89 F350 with the same load. Really. And the '89 isn't really much stiffer unladen than the '11, if at all. I'm thinkin' Ford needs to re-think their rear spring stack, but it's not really a major complaint on my part.

Only the rich people have memory seats.
I hate to say this but I don't like it when my wife drives the truck. I came home from work a few years back and found that wifey decided to take the corvette out to have lunch with her friends. I walked into the garage and saw the front of the car wrapped around the lawn mower.
A few years before that we had a custom van and she closed the red release rope that disengages the garage door opener in the van's side door. As she was backing out she was closing the garage door as she went. It was not fun trying to dislodge a full size van from a double garage door.
And then there was the time..................... you get the point.
