I dunno, Don...isn't that kind of low in the atmosphere for a contrail? Sure looks like it's coming up from the surface.

I say it was a USAF experimental "scramjet" powered aircraft/spaceplane (hypersonic) slowing down shedding re-entry heat as it prepare to return to Groom lake/Area 51.

Gotta push the conspiracy thing to the max.

Last I heard of it, it had been released stating that they were doing a missile test launch between X dates, and this falls into that category. I'll see if I can pull a link.
