looking to get new tires for my 97 150. found 4 general grabber at/2's on discount tire for $517 shipping included from cali. good buy? or keep looking?
How much to have them installed & balanced ? might be cheaper to buy them locally with install and RH insurance.
Seems the $$ amount was about the same for those at my Ford dealer after rebates, I opted for a set of 265/70/17 Michelin LTX MS-2 on mine (after reading reviews) for 870.00 including road hazard warranty, just short of what Discount wanted and had my oil changed while there. One trip for all & local.
Good Luck & welcome to FTE
just put a set of 4 Firestone 265/75/16 destination AT on my F150. Mount, balance, road hazard, tire disposal fee, safety check and alingment check. Out the door $ 650. this was done locally by the tire dealear that i have used for 25 years. may be a bit pricey but if i have a problem with a tire it is resolved with NO hassels.

If you have Discount Tire stores in your area, I have had them match Tire Rack's prices (adding what the cost of what shipping would be) and have been very pleased with their service.
If you trash a tire, it will be much easier to deal with if you buy locally.
