I like those big AZZ pictures.......Get better 15K dial up Brother John....
Richie, Pull off the plastic chrome side cover on one of the seats and give us the part number on it. The seats if factory will be of bostrom manufacture for 1964.
I would not swing the drilled lumber yet at Bill"s **** as to a schooling. Some crow eating may be appropriate as a bit more research is in order.
WHAT HAVE I STARTED? Richiehaney, would you please tell the new owner of the truck about our site so that they might keep us informed of what the future holds for it. I am sure all of us would be glad to have the truck and new owner in our family. IT IS GOOD TO HAVE YOU ON HERE TOO! Thanks for sharing the pictures as well. I hope it finds a great new home and owner.
I hope all of you who know so much about these trucks, jumps in and gives as much information as Numberdummy does. Regardless of this thread N.D. has provided a lot of help and information needed by owners of the slicks.
Next time someone needs a part number you guys provide that information. When someone needs a vin decoded please provide that also. When someone needs a NOS piece or hard to find part you guy's provide that information also.
Most of the time this is a great site, but every now and then there's a disagreement on something that just turns ugly.
You guy's need to stop adding wood to the fire and learn when to "Let it go"

NumberDumby needs to put out his own fires as he starts them. He has the fire extinguisher in hand he just needs to turn it on.
What good is information of its Mis-Information? Did you notice how often ND is involved when there is disagreement?
I am not at all saying some info he gives is not valuable but he is sure not afraid to jump into someone elses crap just to please himself.
To come on here and literally brag about how smart you are, what a high IQ you have and how many books you have read and that makes you the FTC know it all? His words not mine.
Not only does he brag about himself how smart he thinks he is he continues to belittle everyone else here. Its about time that stopped. Not to mention he then turns it into name calling etc. If he does not get his way he then threatens to leave. He just needs to humble himself just a tad. ya think?
Just one time I would like to see him admit he was wrong.
One thing to remember ND, parts books are a book of replacement parts not engineering drawings. In the case of a carborator, a company will sometimes use multiple brands and have a designated brand for replacement. That does not mean that the orignal equipment was not something else. I have worked as an engineer at CaseIH/CNH and if you look at the parts books for a Magnum tractor it will list one radiator for all models. In fact, from a service parts they will all work, but from the factory there were 4 different radiators installed, one for each horsepower rating. But service parts depots do not want to stock all of the versions so the fact that the largest radiator fits all models that is the one in the service parts books. There are also cases where parts are not available from a particular supplier either a parts shortage or supplier recall so a different part could be substituted on the line. And no, the parts books are not updated in those cases as they are interchangeable. We have all seen parts book substitutions so obviously parts books do get "refined" to include replacement parts that will work in other applications.
By the way, I have never met you, but sometimes backing down from a fight will get you more respect then standing up for something you think is right. You are a wonderful source of information, but the fighting needs to stop. In the short time I have been a member you sure are confrontational.
My comment was for all eyes reading this thread. "Let it go" These words posted by "markzieglerinsd" sometimes backing down from a fight will get you more respect then standing up for something you think is right. were never more true, than in this case.
I can't see you nor can you see me. If I roll my eyes at your comment or express my thoughts with another, no one will ever know. But once I put those comments in writing everyone will see I'm the same as you. If I'm right or wrong so be it. Don't belittle me help me learn. If I refuse to learn, walk away and be done with me. An argument takes two or more people for it to continue. So who is right? Does it matter? What's gained?
