4R100 Question...
When I put say, 12,000 pounds behind my 7.3, if I just drop it into first to move a couple hundred yards, my truck seems to "shift" at about 2500 rpm or so. Is there something wrong with my tc or trans, or is this normal? It only does it loaded. I thought first was first, no if, and or buts about it. I know it's dropping into first, because it pulls hard and climbs RPM at super slow speed. It doesn't have the telltale softness in it that starting one in second does... Getting ready to take a load of calves to the yard in the morning and just looking for a little confirmation of what's happening..
