battery light?

battery light?
i just ran out for an hour, i let my truck idle outside a freinds house for about 30 minutes. when i got back in my truck, my battery light was on. the factory gauge is reading normal. i just got home and i shut the truck down and restarted it a few times...no problem. i have a sct x2 tuner and i check for codes, i have none. any idea whats making the light come/stay/on? i dont have a tester here at the house to check the alternator. i'm guessing the factory gauge could be not working right. thanks.

Yep, and even further into it, it sounds like the diode trio in the regulator....

would that make the factory gauge read correct? or is my gauge garbage?
