cruise control
Always worked fine, got on highway yesterday turned on hit coast at 70mph the light on dash came on but it would not take over.MPH just dropped light on dash stayed on. Checked all fuses, plug on brake pedal,evrything is fine. Any ideas, similar experiences please share out come

its automatic, I thought at first it might be a brake switch or issue but when you step on the brake the light goes out. My cc light on dash stays on all the time like the computer thinks its in coast, so if it was a brake issue the light would not stay on.
It does not stay on all the time just when I put it on everything works except the truck just does not take over speed

You could try doing a self test to see if the Cruise will give you a code and that may help to narrow your possibilities.

Checked all lights reverse,brake etc... and also did the diagnostic self test, evrything went good in the test exactly like the post you guys refered me to. No other codes after last button, Its dark but I can here the throttle lever/cable under the hood at the end of test peddle does not seem to move I will check that 2morow
