Headlight Depot - any opinions or experiences???

Hello,

I want to upgrade my 2000 F250 SD headlights and Headlight Depot has a set to look like the 05-07.

I have never dealt with them and was looking for some opinions. I just wanted to get an idea of quality before hitting the order button.

These are the ones I was looking at:

2000 FORD F250 Super Duty Headlights - HeadlightsDepot.com - Free Shipping Over $50

Thanks for the help,
Shawn

It is REALLY cool that they are a direct swap for an 05 all the way through the 2020 model year!

Will you have to do any cutting to make this fit your model? I was under the impression that using these style of replacements cutting was necessary to make this fit.

I believe there is some small cutting to the header panel.

I appreciate the offer but the lights from headlight depot are basically plug and play. I have heard that using the oem 05-07 headlights requires alot of altercations to my truck. 02-04 oems are a direct swap though.

These lights I am looking at are made to look like the 05-07 but are not direct replacements for 05-07.

Thanks again
Shawn

I think that when you get these you will find that they are a copy of the 05-07 lights and will require the same modifications to get them to fit your 99-04. They come with the wiring adapter to make that work without mod, but I just think they will not directly fit. If you read the description carefully it only mentions the wiring being for a 99-04, but when it lists what years it fits, it starts with 2005. I could be wrong, but that is what I get from the description. I mean, think about it, whatever company that made those had to make the mold from something. I think it was an OEM 05-07 light.

To the OP, it appears that HeadlightsDepot.com is combining the 2005-2007 headlights with their adapter kit for a single package. Part # FO2502217 for $138.90 plus "FORD SUPERDUTY 9007 TO H13 CONVERSION HARNESS CONVERTS 99-04 TO 05-07 PAIR" for 58.95. The combined price is $168.95, which saves you $28.92 over buying each component.

You will have to cut your header panel around the stock area of the lights. With the adapter, you can just plug those existing ones in and they work great.

I've ordered from them before ... the lights were made by Eagle Eyes (Taiwan) but were OEM quality and have held up well so far. I had no problems with my order and shipping was fast.

Is there a FAQ or thread that goes over what you have to get or mod on a 99-01 SD to make the 05 stuff fit? Headlights, grill etc

I installed some aftermarket projector lights from K2 motors on my 99.... They really brightened things up and the only thing you have to do it cut a small portion out of the header panel and if you don't like the lights it doesn't effect you being able to put the stock lights back in .... I post a pic once I find one LOL

Here's a pic I found with the K2 headlights on my 99.... after I put the 05-07 grille and bumper on they seem to blend right in
