No need to do all that. 50% anti-freeze + 50% water = 100% coolant. Good luck with it

I new to do the same for my truck ( 7.3 IDI) . I wish that Walmart still sold the green non-extended life antifreeze.

Speaking of Gooch, he gave this ELC a very good recommendation: Primatech PTAF-2301F
Here's what he said back in 2008:
"The Primeatech ELC is an excellent coolant for you...certainly better than the Zerex G-05. It is rated EC-1 which is the toughest spec in the industry. Long robust life and virtually maintenance-free. It is made by Houghton Chemical, a very reputable and premier chemical supply company. You done good."
It's available at FleetPride. They're almost everywhere, so it's easy to find. Also available as 50/50 pre-mix.

If you guys don't know about FleetPride, I suggest you get to know them. They're a trucker's 7-Eleven convenience store.
