well took the old girl down to are shop about 20 miles away last night and 5 miles from the shop the trany had had enough!! the worst part of all was had 2 be pulled in buy a dam dodge!!! but got up and at it to day got all the auto out of the way and interer and floreing is moved, did some masering and i seam 2 be abot 2in short as of now, may have 2 have a short shaft in the rear lengthend, my 5 speed is out of a 93, now i thought i saw where some one said i can use my auto transfer case is that true??? if not ill stay with the old one and upgrade later. dose any one on here have a 96 or so crew cab 4x4 short bed 5 speed the could give me some maserments on thanks
You can use your t case. You might have to modify or fabricate a new linkage bar that runs from the 4x4 shifter to the t case. It's different lengths from auto to 5 speed and I think the BW 1356 and 4407 have different length link bars. But it is easy to shift it from underneath in the mean time and if you have a welder then there's no problem.
If the driveshaft from the donor is too short too then I'd just lengthen whichever looks better. I don't know anyone on here with a crew cab short bed 4x4 so you may just have to finish up and measure.
WTF! Ive wanted a crew short bed forever!!!!! I had a crew long bed and sold her to buy my extended cab..the four doors with 8ft bed was alot for one person lol

I've got it George! You should do it all! Then you could have a 1992 F350 7.3L IDI -> PSD, Dually -> single wheel, E4OD -> 5 speed, 2 -> 4wd. You would be the f n man.
