'96 needs: 2-tube fuel hookup or 3-tube?

I have a 4.9L six and Std Cab long bed with dual tanks.

I have to replace the pump / innards for the side/front tank, and I don't know if that's going to need the two or three tube fuel hookup.

How can you tell what you're going to need before you drop the tank?
