77 F-250 wants some 38's

Hey everyone, I got to ask a favor of anyone who would share some pics of there Fords F-250 on 38" TSL's. I have a great condition 1977 f-250 that I bought as my first vehicle when I was 16. It had at the time 38,000 miles (seriously) and was completely stock other than some 33's. In the last 14 years I have only put about 25,000 miles on it beleive it or not. It is now on some 35's with a 3'' body lift that was needed to clear L&L fenderwell headers. It has a pretty built 460 that was put in by the original owner a few years after he originally bought the truck. For quite a few years I have wanted to put 38'' super swamper TSL's or similar on the truck. I am just wondering if anyone has pictures of a similar truck with this same setup or close. I will get some pictures up in the next day or so as well. Thanks everyone!

Hey thanks you guys! These are great looking trucks too. I think the 38's will surely fit with no problem and still look great if i decide to throw 2-4 more inches at it.

Reviving this old thread

Hey all, I originally posted this tread many years ago. Well after 15 years and not too many miles, I am due for another set of tires on my truck. I ended up picking up a set of used 38" TSL's that lasted a few years...then got married and the truck has been sitting. I am ready to get this thing back on the road again but I definitly need new tires as the used ones I put on it years ago have started rotting

and cracking. My question and dilemma is that my rim size is 16.5, pretty hard to find tires for this size anymore. I'd like to stick with 38" tires, maybe 37's but want to get some ideas on a little more modern wheel, maybe in the 18" diameter range. I'd love any pictures anyone would be willing to provide. Attached are some pictures of the truck in the past.

Nice truck... new 16.5's can be had all day long. https://www.4wheelparts.com/products...3-591c511600d8

Military take offs are cheap and also 16.5. Actually 37x12.50x16.5 https://feltztire.com/product-tag/hu...MbfqjbbXhAEq1u

https://militarytires.ca/rim-size/16-5/

https://govtire.com/collections/trucktires

I like 38.5's on a 16.5 rim, NO body lift and a 6" all the way around spring lift from Skyjacker.

I love this thread. I'm A 40"s guy! had them for years on my newer Fords. My '79 has only a 4" lift but I get very encouraged when you guys show your trucks with lifts! Please submit more photos!! I'm a nut job for this stuff lol. Nothing cooler than an older Ford on 38's or 40's!

These are 38s. I’ll be going with 35s or 36s after the rebuild. I’m guessing I have a 4” suspension lift. I added a body lift when I went from 36s to 38s. The body lift won’t be going back on. 77.5 F250

circa late 80s early 90s

I might go back to a flat bed. I won’t be using this 84’ bed.

This is how it looked early 90s until two years ago.
