my names john im new to the site ive been looking over the threads for about a month and it seems like there are some cool people on here so i was seeing if anybody could help on this i just bought a 64 f100 and the guy had the original hub caps but the guy who had it before him put different rims on it and i would rather run steel rims with the hubcaps so i was wanting to know what rims would work with them if they had to be ford or if ones off other vehicles would work and what years i couldnt figure out how to post the pic so i put a link and i think there 10 1/2's and my truck is 5 lug http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...lick64/005.jpg
1961/65 F100's came with "innie" wheels as original. 1966 F100's came with "outie" wheels as original, but you could find either on your truck today considering parts swapping.
Innies: So called because the 9 1/2" O.D. hubcap snaps onto tabs located on the inside of the wheels center section.
Outies: So called because the 10 1/4" O.D. hubcap snaps onto tabs located on the outside of the wheels center section.
Two different versions of each hubcap were offered. Standard Cabs came with painted hubcaps, Custom Cabs came with stainless steel hubcaps.
The 9 1/2" "innie" hubcap has F O R D in the center, with 12 \_/ along the outer edge / The 10 1/4" "outie" hubcap has a raised slash thru the center, with F O R D above/below the slash in a crescent pattern.
A member of this forum has all the different hubcaps pictured in his photo gallery. The problem is, I can't recall his user name.
