Alcoa rims, what is the largest tire I can put on?

Scored a nice set of rims, with caps, for $200.00. Hadn't planned on getting them yet, but couldn't pass the deal. Want to keep the tall skinny look going(the tires, not the driver). Would 285 or 295 75x16 fit on these rims? There are 265x75x16's on the rims now
thank you, C

If they are stock then yes. I presently have 295/75R16's on mine. I think you probably can even go 305 or 315 if you want but that gets wider and you want narrow. If you want skinny and tall get a 245 or 265/85R16. The smaller 245 number makes it more narrow and the 85 makes it taller.

I have a little bit of a rubbing issue with my 285/75-16's when turning really sharp... I like the height of them but just wish I could find something that's a 33 but a bit narrower. Any ideas what size to look for?

For a narrower 33" tire, try 255-85-16 tires. Toyo makes two different styles, BFG MT's, and Cooper does, too.

I have 285s and new Michelins are 956 @ COSTCO if you buy before Aug 7. It would pay your membership if you lived by one.

A hole has been found in the nudist camp wall. The police are looking into it.

i had no issues running them on my truck, the only rubbing was with the wheels cut all the way and hitting a hard bump, it resulted in a slight rub on the leaf spring that is just enough to rub the rust off of it. they saw tons of abuse off road on previous trucks of mine aired down to 15 psi. see pics below

315/75/16 bfg mt's on stock wheels-

315/75/16 bfg at's on stock wheels-

bfg mt's on stock wheels in use-

and the footprint-

and before people ask can you tow heavy loads with load "D"'s-

Rock on Joe! Great pics!!!! So it will be 315 75's for sure., My son has 305 x70 on his superduty, they are too wide for my tastes, the 75 series really looks right on these trucks. Thank you, C
