Going for bigger mirrors

Guys,
has anyone swapped out the smaller power mirrors on a 2005-2007 F250 for the bigger, telescoping mirrors? if so, how hard is it? and approx how much money to do so?
thanks in advance

You can find used sets for around $250 on the forums or on Ebay. Many people upgrade to the '08+ mirrors, so finding the '05-'07 style shouldn't be too difficult.

Mine are '05 mirrors. The '08s have a larger lower mirror for better visibility and are more square-looking. They bolt up, but you have to splice the wire harness to keep the right plug.

08+ mirrors will run you some coin though. usually $600-$800 used or $1000ish new.

partsguyed.com has them for a decent price for the set. You can find '05 mirrors for about 1/3 the price used though.

I put tow mirrors on my 05 F250 wasn't that hard to install, had to cut off the plugs from the paddle mirrors and splice the plugs to the tow mirrors, the 08 mirrors are much better,I traded my 05 for an 08 F350,the mirrors are better the spot mirror works well, the 07 back the rounded mirrors aren't as good as the 08 up.

Here is a picture of the up to 07 and the 08 and newer so you can compare the size.

question:
is there any way to get the blinkers on the mirrors in the -07 style?
also, i have manual unheated paddle mirrors. i am semi content with manual mirrors, but power sure would be nice, especially on the passenger side. how hard would it be to upgrade?

KoolVue has also started to make aftermarket '08+ mirrors as well for a cheaper price. I haven't heard if anyone has tried them out yet or not.

Depends on if the wiring is already there or not. Pull your door panel and see if the mirror plug and the plug for the mirror controls are there.

I have an 07 F250 that had paddle mirrors and I just bought a pair of aftermarket tow mirrors, I cant tell the difference from the Ford part, fit and finish is great and though I only had power adjust before I now have Power, Heat, Turn signal, and clearance light just plug and play cause on the 07 if you have power mirrors the wiring for the other functions is already there. The mirrors cost me $279.00 delivered for the pair on Ebay.
