Overhead console compas/thermometer not working

Hi all !
Just bought an 03' F-150, FX-4 and the overhead console compass/thermometer is the only thing not working, was wondering if anyone can help me as to where to start looking for the fix or what should I expect.
The previous owner said he had a trailer light problem and it hasn't worked since. This has the factory tow package and wiring connections and the fuse panel checked out o'k.

I had the same issue, mine turned out to be the screen just went out. Got one from a junkyard for 100.

I had the same problem. Washed the board and hit all the solder joints. Worked again for a couple days then went out again. Got one at the yard for $15.00. Ford wants a lot for them. I think it was around $140.00. Good luck.

Can you tell me where the "board" is located to check it out?

If I remember right, the screw is a phillips at the front of the console, toward the windshield.

Mine was going out intermittantly also. Its obviously an issue with them. When Im reallly reallllly bored one day I will pull mine apart and see whats up with it.
