Scan gauge II

I am considering getting the SGII as a supplemental gauge. Id like to hear some people's opinions on it and if they thought it is worth the money ($169)

Also where are people mounting them?

Thanks in advance!

People tend to like "real" gauges because they don't trust the ones the computer reads. I don't know, I like my Scangauge, but I also only paid $70 for mine used. I mount mine on the dash but I have a little slot above my radio because it's aftermarket. In my other cars I mounted it above the rearview mirror, on the steering column, along the bottom of the gauge cluster (blocking the PRND), etc.

I love mine. Just installed one in my Dad's PSD too. Works very well and is very versatile, especially with the X codes.

I spent time talking to Clay about the one he mentioned in his post. Seems like a great gauge for 270.00, especially for someone like me who is always getting into trouble but without a laptop or AE software. I am definitely putting one on my want(need) list.

Thanks for the replies guys. For 100 more I could have the one Terminator sells, But I was planning on running a 3 gauge pod with conventional gauges, not sure about a 4 gauge pod.

I have a 4 gauge pod from Clay but I went with conventional gauges in it. The scan gauge for me wouldn't be a primary gauge, just a knowledgable assistant to the other gauges for me.

I would also be adding this with something like the 650 dash or another gauge pod.
