I have a 2002 f-150 supercrew 4x4 with 5.4 engine. The passenger rear blinker or brake light don't work. The light will burn with the headlights on but no blinker or brake light. The blinker blinks fast on the passenger side. I have replaced the multi-switch and have checked all the fuses. The wire connector under the bed isn't showing any current on brakes. Can someone tell me where else to look. THanks
The bulb is a dual filiment type.
The running lamp/park element does not blink, only the stop filiment blinks with the turn, 4 way and stop functions.
Have you changed the bulb ?
If all three other lamps blink on 4 way, it's not the turn signal switch.
The lamp is an open circuit that makes the flash rate speed up because the current drawn is to low to heat the flasher to the correct temperature for a normal flash rate.
Good luck.
Yes I did change the bulb. I have no signal on 4 ways on that taillight. All the others work fine.I dont know if i need to change out the taillight holder. Could it be burnt and not working on brakes?
Had that on my 01 Supercrew, changed the bulb socket and that didn't help. There was a bad spot in the wire somewhere in the last couple feet on the taillight harnes for that taillight. Replaced the wire and has been working for the last year. Not sure how or why it went bad but it did. Couldn't see it from teh outside, needed to use a multimeter.

Pull the new lamp out,and take a good look inside the socket.I had a similar problem on my 97 XL,and found a "hot spot" on one of the contacts in the socket.Cleaned it out really good, and checked for continuity.Worked from then on.
