94 Supercharged Lightning Issues! Please help!!

HI guys, hoping for some insight for my Lightning. After doing a decent burnout the other night, a few problems arrose. Truck is a 94 lightning with a paxton blower, and a 5 speed swap.

A. My clutch grenaded. Like completely disintegrated.
I just finished replacing it with a larger 11" clutch.

B. Now the truck is having some difficulty starting. Cranks for a while and will eventually start. Once started, runs just fine. However if you turn it off and try to restart, it will fire up and die after a few seconds and not restart.

I do not have a fuel pressure gauge handy but will be picking one up. However when you depress the schrader valve on the fuel rail, gas does squirt out.

Do inline fuel pumps ever let go and not let fuel pass through?

Also, I have my by-pass valve venting to the atmosphere (just read this might be a problem?) and it was pointed at the power distribution box. Unfortunately my blower has started leaking and spewed a bit of oil over the power distribution box. Anything in there that could be causing some sort of an issue?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!! This is driving me nuts! Thanks!

What other mods do you have?

Need a list to help diagnose your problem.

What he said. You could also try posting in the Lightning section.

I will give the lightning forum a shot also, I just figured the first generations are so similar to a regular F150, that this would get more traffic.

Anyway, the truck has the following:
Shorty headers to catless X pipe
Paxton SN92 supercharger
MSD 6al ign
5 speed
The fuel system is beefed up with a hobbs switch to an inline walbro pump.
flex fan.

It also has a fuel pump safety switch. (Have to hold a button while you start it for the fuel pumps to work)
It was on the truck when I bought it and I am thinking it might be a suspect.

Any insight would be great!

Try bypassing that switch with a jumper wire. I had a similar problem on a different car, and I thought the fuel pump was bad. I noticed the contacts on the switch were loose so I bypassed it, and the fuel pump worked like a charm. After hooking up the switch again, it still had problems. I think the contacts inside were bad. So maybe your switch is bad.

If anything, once you get a fuel pressure gauge, you can start it and see what happens to fuel pressure, and that should give you some ideas for getting it fixed.

Your running an inline pump, hobbs switch, and supercharger with no fuel pressure gauge

Have you checked codes yet?

Off topic but did you buy the paxton from a guy in Florida?

I wish I could figure out how to bypass the switch, but the truck used to have a high dollar alarm and I'm not sure if I can really acces those wires without royally screwing something up. I unfortunately do not have a code reader. Will have to track one down.

This is definitely fuel related. It wont start unless the fuel pumps prime (obviously), however the priming is hit or miss. It does it on either tank so I am thinking its probably not the fuel pumps. I also checked the fuses in the power distribution box and they are good. Could the fuel pump relay have crapped out? But once it starts it runs just fine.

And as for not having a fuel pressure gauge, I have one on order. (I know its risky not running one, however i'm not running all that much boost)

And I bought it from some one in AZ. Not very satisfied with the SN92 kit so far. The Vortech I had on my last lightning was far superior.
