94 lightning , back tank won't take gas

All, I took my trunk in to get painted and the painter had it for a couple of months. I got it back today and went to fill the truck up. The front tank took some fuel however the back tank refused to and spilled fuel all over my fresh paint.

Any idea what the issue may be?

It's a new (to me) truck and I'm not familiar with the setup.

Thanks.

The vent is likely clogged or routed in a funky manner.

Or the tank is full.. which means the truck has the very common fuel transfer problem.

or when the painter had the bed off to paint the truck, he did not put the filler neck on correctly and now it is kinked and will not allow fuel thru

Thanks, it worked before I took the truck to the painter. Tank is close to empty now. I'm guessing that there is a one way valve that cycles when the switch is flipped to fill the tank which is not opening. Odd thing is that I would expect it to fill the front tank and it did not (i tried to fill the back tank first).

Thanks, tank is empty, still interested in knowing about the common issue.
