Pass - Thru Wire Use
Ok,
Located pass thru wires & need to use one tomorrow evening. Are they just what they sound like ? Just a short piece going thru firewall? No fuses or limitations except wire size?
Just checking before I cut into them. Also the ends are wrapped with heat -shrink - is there a good way to use or do we just cut the shrink wrap & make connection/solder?

Thanks for any help..

That's it, just strip the wire back and solder to them. They are just wire, no fuses involved.

I don't think so - I never knew if they were on my '01..

But i might be wrong - sorry...

I'm not sure but my 04' had them also. I'm pretty sure they go back at least as far as 99'

Now I feel dumb.. All the wires that I ran thru the firewall on that truck & Ford had already done it..
