I would think too heavy a recoil spring would be more likley to cause a stovepipe than too light a spring. If the slide doesn't come back with enough force a stovepipe would seem to be more probable than one the comes back too fast.
I also agree with the folks who mentioned trying a hotter name brand ammo.
Being light, Glocks tend to have failure to eject problems for people of slight stature.
