OT 2nd home
I just purchased this home. Its next door to me, all brick 2 car attached, 2 car detached, 3 br, 5 acres. Hope the pic works!

Very nice, Kevin! I miss the midwest sometimes, especially with those Fall colors. In another month, not so much.
A friend of mine was looking at a nice (somewhat dated, but solid) 20-yr-old house in eastern Colorado, in a small town; 1850 sf, 2-car attached, 1 acre. They were asking $34,000. I can't imagine trying to negotiate on a price like that?!

I have a feeling that if I don't move out sooner... at least in retirement I'll be moving out to the South.

My wife and I are very excited about the purchase. We havent decided what we are going to do as of yet but probably we are going to rent it out.
My Dad always said " they aint growing any more land" With our 5 acres and now this 5 acres I can HIDE a lot of trucks on 10 acres!

LOL. You guys might have the cheap trucks, but we have the better (notice I didn't say cheap) real estate prices. My aunt just left california for that very reason. You definitely pay for your sunshine. Anybody who can make ends meet in California has my respect. Rain and cold this morning here. Nice house there bigwin.

I'm making ends meet and hoping to buy a 3-4 bedroom house with a 2 car garage in the next year or two. I just need to come up with a minimum of $60k for a down payment.
I love the sunshine and being able to drive my cars mostly year round.
