Has anyone used this yet? Wondering if they are worth a dang. Also anyone have any pics of them mounted? Not sure how good they'll look on my white truck.
just did 'em last week. Do you have the "euro" style headlights already? If not you'll need them (the ones with completely clear plastic lenses). I don't see that much of an intensity difference seeing as how my halogens were original from 96 but I do love love love the color temperature difference (white vs. amber). I went with white HID's. I'm a theatrical lighting designer so quality of light is something I notice and important to me. I feel I can see better and I think the truck looks cooler. plus the projectors have halos which look cool when the parking lights are on. Got mine from retrosolutions.com They seemed to have good reviews and was recommended to me by someone here. The only thing I didn't like what the instructions were not very clear. If you got the same kit i can guide you through it.
The trickiest part was separating the headlight lenses. I can explain in greater detail if you want but you'll have to email me. I forget to check PM's or reply to threads here when I am busy...and then I forget. I suck at life i know... my email: lifestooshort81 at gmail dot com If someone could tell me how to post pics up on this thread i'll gladly post em.
The kit was about $200 and included everything. I've taken the headlights out of the truck before so that wasn't a problem. If you haven't done it before, its going to be a pain in the rear end. And then of course its fairly simple wiring to be hooked up.
long story short, I love em. I think i may need further adjustment on the fixtures themselves but that's my own dumb fault for not going back and re-adjusting them.
Let me know if you need anything.
Al
EDIT: i apparently don't read... the kit i put in was totally different...sorry! I have stock looking headlights with a clear lens and the projector retrofits went inside of them.
