Looking for opinions

I'm looking a set of new brake pads for the front brakes and wanted to know anyone here knows if there is a difference between Hawk SuperDuty pads and the Hawk LTS pads and would either of them work for a top and go half ton?

Man Hybris you are opening your self up when you ask for opinions from this crowd. We all have them.

In the past I've just bought pads with a good warranty from the parts store. If I plan on keeping the vehicle for a long time I go with better quality. If I'm looking to trade in a year or two, then the cheapies.

I've not used the Hawk pads. I'm pretty easy on brakes though except on POJ the 78 Bronco. Actually, I think it's pads are OK, but I need a new master cylinder.

Wouldn't the Hawk be mad if you shove him in your brakes?

seriously I haven't heard of either.

Why is Flip padding posts after he hit 5000 by doing a double post?

I'm with Del on this one, I go with the medium-end stuff from the parts store of your choice. If you don't really need anything fancy or high-end for daily driving.

Me three. Cheapies squeak...the medium priced ones at the local parts store seem to work for me!

I seldom have had problems with a vehicle going, but I have had plenty of problems with vehicles stopping, so when it comes to brakes, I buy the best ones I can afford.

I buy the Lifetime warranty ones from Autozone for any of my Vehicles but it comes down to you getting the right ones for your truck.

Thanks guys for your opinions I'll go ahead and ask in the 97-03 section and see if anyone has any experience with Hawk pads.

I have had too many break related issues to cheap out on something so simple like pads.
