Tranny Issue
To describe the noise is hard but I will do my best. When the truck is in gear (any gear, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, D or R) there is a type of deep chirping noise. Kinda remindes me of the way train brakes sound if you have ever heard that??? The noise would go away in P and N and as you let off the brake the noise would start to dissapear and was completly gone by the time the truck was moving 3mph to be exact.
Anyway two weeks later I get the call today that they have parts ordered to get it fixed. It was some type of pressure issue with the valve body, I will find out more details when I pick up the truck. All line pressure checks were done before the tranny was tore down and no issues found. Whatever it was didnt show it's face until the tranny was totaly disassembled. According to the tech this is the first and only issue reported like this so far which is why it took so long to isolate.
Not a big deal to me as long as it gets fixed. Parts fail and there is nothing that we can do about it, I Just wanted to give the heads up if any of you guys start to hear this type of noise. There were no driving/shifting issues what so ever. Amazing truck so far and hopefully this is an isolated issue with one of those mass produced parts failing!!
