The cdi box controls the timing. If the engine gets hot it is supposed to retard the timing. The temp light never came on but I think a motor head would have noticed it earlier. Oh well that is snowmobiling.
That makes sense then Mike. Yes that is snowmobiling. At least it isn't like years past where you rode for a couple hours and wrenched for a couple hours. They are pretty reliable now.
Ok, since we're kinda talking about the 6.0, what is the deal with them? I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I've heard that the 6.4 and the 6.0 stink something awful. Now, I've a fair amount of experience with the 6.4, (pulling, highway, and hauling) and I don't necessarily buy into that one. Sooo...what's the facts surrounding that? Are there certain years where that is true and untrue? Teach me please!
