88 f250 with starting problems

its a 88 f250 4x4 with a 351 auto, i drive the truck to the store and back home try to start it and it cranks like the battery is dead (very slow). it does start if it sits for a couple of hours. battery is good new and the alt is good. could the starter or the solinoid be going bad. or maybe the ground going from the battery to the block. love the truck and just after i fixed the exh. manifold and a good tune up

Check all your grounds.....sounds like the starter may be getting heat-soaked which would cause that......
