its crazy to see the transformation of these trucks and the time you put into them. not to mention the $$$$$$$.

What I said about doing the mods all over again but your right Falcon, the cost of doing them again could buy a BTS.

yeah i understand that, however im not a newbie to diesels any more and like to think i know what im looking at lol. im gunna look it over real good. i dont know if its just me or not but i like building trucks up. to be honest im just tired of this truck. was thinking of selling it before on ebay. still might end up doing that.
what do you think my trucks worth? ive seen people asking 10k for a stock 97 with 250xxx miles on it around here in the classifieds. not sure if there actually selling or not though

I'm a Hand shaker guy, so. I don't know. A 5speed swap or a BTS will cost you less in the long run.
You got some nice tires and a good setup, as well, your trucks the same color as mine, and I don't know if you have noticed at all.... There are not to many our color. Mine is a bit darker than yours though. Duno whats up with that. Diff years though.
As for how much yours is worth.
What I've always been told by bigger diesel guys is that Mods to not make the truck worth more.
Unless you got some 600 HP monster, just cause you threw in a set of stage 1's and a big exhaust doesn't make it worth more.
That 99 seems a little too cheap to me, but the most you'll probably get for your 97 if your lucky is 8,000.
People selling them for 10k are just idiots.
10k is if you have a truck under 100k miles.
Though, the 97's seem worth a bit more, duno why yet.
I paid 4k for my 94 with 250k miles on it.
Average for 150k trucks seems to be in the 6-7k range.

no no. new tranny. cant find a zf5 anywere. i did find one up in NJ with a blown motor and its rotten. i mean not one usable fender on the truck. he thinks its worth $4000. i just laughed and he got pissed

Haha i bought my 93 donor with a running 7.3 for 600$ Took the zf out along with pedals, drive shaft, etc...Sold the motor for 900...Sold a battery for 60$ so im pretty happy. You can find them just keep looking

I bought a running 95 turd for 1200. Sold the injectors, idm, pcm, dash pad, fpr, wires, toolbox, gooseneck hitch, etc and used the ZF as a core on a build. Got all kinds of parts for my truck like air louvres, interior screws, bulbs, cab lights, front and rear 3.55s. Sold Obamacare EMS Medic 1 for 500. I hadn't figured it but I reckon I at least broke even.

you keep looking you are able to find them cheap i got my 96 f-350 crew cab 4x4 5 spd for 1800 could of drove it home if the windsheild was not broke do to the roll over and the engine was just rebuilt, only down side was the 14 hour drive round trip to get it and it was a slow pull home with an old idi but you can find them hard but doable.
