Just a quick update:
Zerex G-05 coolant (Zerex version of the Ford "Gold") is now marketed as meeting the CAT EC-1 rating even though it is a Hybrid OAT coolant. So it looks like the EC-1 rating no longer applies ONLY to a Heavy Duty Organic Acid Tech Extended Life Coolant.

We can no longer tell people to just look for the EC-1 rating on the coolant now when they're trying to find a HD OAT ELC.

That is from a loose injector. When you install the injectors and the cylinders are purged, leave the valve covers off to idle the engine for an hour or so. This gives you the opportunity to make observations on how things are operating under there, and it warms the engine up. Once the engine is warm, re-torque your injectors to factory specs.
Oh... and with the VCs off, the intercooler tubes and turbo is open. Make sure all paper towels, rags, gloves, lint, and house pets are a minimum of 1 block away from the turbo and engine intakes. If you start it, it will suck.
