No Rear Lights

Hi all....
'89 F150 5.0 .....rear blinkers and stop lights work, as do flashers. No "running" lights. Would this be a headlight switch problem? I took a good look under the truck at what I thought might be the most likely places where a break would be, but all wiring seems fine. Thanks in adavance.

do they work if you pull it back 1 position instead of 2? I/E only your marker lights on?

Thats where i'd start testing is at that headlight switch.

Do you have dashboard lights?
If not check the topmost fuse in the box. I think it's #4
Sometimes the fusebox gets hot and the connections go bad on the back side.

No, they don't work in the first pull-out position, and no other lights are affected. Thanks for the quick responses!

Try playing with the switch between positions.
You may find a "sweet spot" that will verify it's the switch before you spend $60 on a non-returnable electrical item you didn't need.

Ask me why I know...

Sometimes the plug for the switch melts as well, causing all kinds of problems.
This should be correct for your 1989 application.
