lincoln heads

hi have a engine from a 90 lincoln the head casting number e89e good or bad thanks rob

There are no such castings, if the motor was from a towncar they are E6SE's which are unique with a kidney bean shaped combustion chamber.. and they are the absolute worst performing SBF head ever produced.

If you're looking for just a stock head, the E7TE's are everywhere, and cheap..FWIW.

They can be found on most '87 and up 5.0L and 5.8L trucks and also any 5.0L HO engine from a Mustang, T-Bird, Cougar, Mark VII, etc.

hi is there any of telling if the heads are e7s with out taking the intake off most junktards wont take the engines apart or let you do it , thanks for the info rob

You're pretty much guaranteed to find E7's on any EFI truck anyway, but look for a capital T cast into the outside corner of the head(see pic). R = E5TE, S = E6SE, T = E7TE.
