This is Darwin in action. Let them go. In the meantime they show themselves the fools they are since if it was that good a deed and that moral, why are there so few of them?
I think we should buy tickets for any human shields who want to go, it will improve our country to have them elsewhere.
I did get a kick out of news reports that some of the idiots, uh I mean shields, were disappointed that Sadaam didn't have a big parade and national show of gratitude when they showed up. I don't know, I don't think any US GI ever had a parade for any of the sandbags he used to keep bullets off his tush, why should these meat bags get any better treatment?

I expect their nihilstic visions of protecting children, hospitals and school buildings are now being replaced with the sobering reality they are being used. How many of them must asking themselves, "is a power plant really worth my life?" Sobering indeed!
Yes, the are traitors in every sense of the word and should not be allowed back in. The political firestorm such actions would ignite against G.W. has already been coldly calculated by the various groups supporting these morons. They are puppets whose strings are pulled by both sides.

I agree with your post completely Chuck.
I think aerocolorado makes a good point though. While their behaviour is assinine, I can only think that they went into this with visions of trying to help the Iraqi people, protecting civilians, hospitals, etc... For many, Iraq was likely a very rude awakening.
I'm not trying to defend these jack a$$es, the opposite is true, but my mind simply can't comprehend anyone going to Iraq to give up their life to protect Saddam's military bases. If they indeed hamper a US (UN?) military effort, I think they should face the consequences on their return to the US, much as the guy that fought for the Taliban did.

Hey, man, I am as big a hippy as the rest of you, but I still value my life over the lives of a cruel dictator and his cronies. And as for protecting the children in Iraq, NEVER IN HISTORY HAVE THE IRAQI CHILDREN BEEN BETTER PROTECTED, FED, OR MEDICALLY CARED FOR THAN THEY WILL BE BY THE UNITED STATES MILITARY. You want to protect innocent lives? Join the Army and do it the right way, with they support of your family, your countrymen, and your government. These people have images of greatness and martyrdom in their minds, like they are doing the world a favor. What they are really doing is pissing their lives away for no gain.

I also say, charter a plane for all these traitors and help them get over there. Also, for these citizens that are burning American flags, handcuff them and ship them over there too. they evidently dont like it here. I mean how the hell are you going to burn a flag, something that stands for the people that died so many years ago so that you will be free and alive. How much shrapnol(spelling?) do they think they are going to shield from them. I, too, agree with you, Chuck. If my memory serves me well, a soldier who was AWOL during war time was shot. Acts of treason warrant execution (which isn't politically correct anymore). The least that should happen to people is that they should lose their citizenship. Wouldn't that be humane and punishment enough?

Yes, indeed, strip them of their citizenship and let them try to find a place to land. They will probably gain asylum in some country, but I guarantee they wont like it as much as they liked it here.

So then, maybe they can go to France and never shave their armpits and eat cheese all day.
Whatever happens, I hope that they will have last set foot on American soil when they boarded that airplane, and they wont be coming back. Then there will be some stupid drivelous prime time interview with Baba Wawa about how they suffered so many hardships, and all the hippies will watch it and petition their senators to let them come back, at which point they will be told "go home, stupid. They chose their fate." And they will slip into obscurity as figments of history, forgotten to all who would have cared, their lives meaningless, their actions fruitless and futile and moronic. I bet they never thought of that before they signed on, they thought they were going to be heroes or something. Idoits.

Land prices are ridiculous here and theres a hundred idiots excuse me these are college sheilds so I guess they're educated idiots, and they outnumber people like me a hundred to one anyway with fewer of them perhaps the right side of the political spectrum can regain some kind of foothold here in the golden state.
Ok lets throw in the mayor of SF and the Governor for good measure. I'll personally spring for their tickets!

These "Human Shields" took things a step too far. They are traitors and if they do try and enter the country, they should be prosecuted for what they did. Their actions are an insult to every soldier who died for this country protecting our rights and our freedom. If they get blown to pieces from our bombs... they deserve it. Good Riddens.. we don't need trash like that around here.
