Most of the rebates and incentives say that, but you will get them anyway. Basically the dealer orders the truck but doesn't put your name on the order. When the truck arrives at the dealer it becomes "dealer stock" even though it is spoken for. It's just a technicality and most dealers will do whatever they can to get you all the incentives available.
Order or stock are the same. It is date of delivery that counts. If you order and it comes at a later date, the delivery date determines ALL rebates, etc.
I was told it is when you sign all the finance paperwork that is when you get the incentives at that time. I am waiting to see what the incentives will be tomorrow seeing my truck should be delivered any day. It is sitting in the train head in PA awaiting a truck hauler to deliver it to the dealer.
I have been told by my dealer that there is one change to the policy "you get the incentives at the time of delivery" policy from Ford. At the end of Oct, Ford now allows the dealers to "lock in" certain incentives that are in place at the time of order and hold those incentives until delivery even if they expire. Now he was clear that this would not apply to some of the incentive packages ($1000 trade-in for example), but that most customer cash incentives could be locked in. You may want to talk to your sales manager (most salesmen have no idea) and confirm this, but I have heard this from two different sales managers in two different sales regions so I think it is a national policy change.
I was told the same, Ford was making a change on locking in. Dealer said he would honor best incentives, time of order or delivery. Great dealer, so far. I am new to my area and feel lucky with my dealings so far.
I just picked up my truck from the dealer on 11/05 and I was not eligible for the $255 maintanance because I was using other incentives that could not be combined with the maintanance incentive.
I bought mine on Sunday before Labor Day, signed the papers that day and picked up my truck a three days later. The dealer called me in the the next day and gave me a 25,000 mile, 2 year maintenance package that they missed when I bought the truck. Now I have 4200 miles and am waiting for the oil change indication to kick on to see what and how much it will cost me to service the truck.
My wipers are worn as well.
The DEF is again below half.
