I have my timing slightly advanced, but that was years ago. I would like to check it again. Its very difficult to read anything now. I just wanted to see what others have done to make it easier to read again.
First i clean the balencer off good , then i used white paint to highlight the TDC mark , then i used red paint on the timing mark where i set my base timing , if you want to see all the marks , just rub some paint , chaulk , or crayon into the marks ....Lew
I use a silver matalic sharpy on the TBC mark, than set the timing I want with my digital display timing light.. so just have to line up the TBC mark.....
edit: TO clean the balincer off first, I reach up under there with a hand held wire brush and hold it against the balincer when its running... JUST BE CAREFUL. I'm not responsable for you if you get hurt..
I had a timing light with the advance on it , but it turned out it was not very acurate , don't remember what kind it was , so i use my trusty snap on light , BTW what is TBC...Lew
