E40D Problems 91 f250

Out of the blue the old tranny is acting up, all of a sudden it will not change out of low unless you let off the accellerator, then it will spin free unless you gradually apply accelleration untill into the drive speeds then runs fine. Hoping its not a replacement, only codes are key off for the EGR and ELV? as this is air mixture could it in anyway be the culprit? Appreciate any advice to trouble shoot befor ripping it out

The TPS could be at fault here without tripping a Check Engine Light. It would be wise to verify the output signal is good before going too far.

Thanks, I thought it would have to get a code if the TPS but certainly worth checking all before replacement, a friend is saying 2nd gear is gone and if so my economical solution is used replacement, i can do that myself.
