Gauge Problems
I need some diagnostic help from the electrical experts. I have a 1972 F250 with 390. All electrics work, but the ammeter does not show charge or discharge. This is not exactly true. A slight charge movement of the needle is barely perceptible. Can anyone suggest what to look for? Thanks for the help.

Gauge Problems
Ford gauges are tempermental.
To test <> You need to have a battery in a low state of charge.
Then get thge engine running & Observe the gauge .
Once the V/R kicks in ,this is when the gauge will be most responsive.
They have a habit of going bad though.
