Electrical pains

My 1989 F250 has had problems electrical problems from the day I got it slowly sorting them out I came to a road block I had a voltage regulator go out and burn up a gauge cluster well ever since then the battery light is on but it charges 14.2 and on that note it has burned up 3 more clusters I'm so confused on this if anyone can help please do

ELECTRICAL GREMLINS SUCK:

If you are going through clusters I would look for a grounding issue.

check all ground wire connections

Improve all connections from battery, starter, GP'S, solenoids, then move to the grounds under the dash, at fuses, cluster and rear harness. Something big may be grounding through your little systems. Look carefully for signs of heat.
