Amp Powerstep Install

I got my 2011 F-250 CC SB Diesel a few weeks ago. One of the first upgrades was to install the Amp Powersteps so that the wife could get in the truck with her bad knees. I thought I'd include a couple of pics that show off the LED step lights. We both love these steps. They are of fantastic quality. Everything from the wire taps on up are of first quality. I got my son to do the heavy lifting in trade for the free Bed X-Tender for his truck.

Nice photos! I sure love my AMP steps and wish I would have bought them on the last truck. I couldn't agree more that AMP puts out a top knotch product from start to finish. I guess the only other thing you could hope for is stainless steel bolts and mounting hardware since the steps are in the direct path of corrosive road spray in the winter.

Depending on how quick you are with the wiring, I would figure 3-4 hours for you first install. It took me a little more than 4 hrs on my truck, but the next day I knocked out my brother's in just about 2 hrs.

Unfortunately I'm more than 8 hrs away! If I was within 2 hrs, I would definitely help you out. Finding the right wires to tap in the spaghetti mess in the door jamb is the worst part by far. Just remember in your search for one of 8 white wires with a green stripe that you are looking for the skinniest wire in there. On several of the wire colors you will find several of the same color, but the correct wires are the smallest of the bundle.

I got the Amp rear bumper step up on my F350 to help me get up in the box, the older I get the more help I need, I love those Amp side steps too, top quality stuff right there, Gigger (a good set of mud flaps will keep some of the winter salt off them)

Every time the wife gets in the truck I hear "I love these steps". Definitely worth the effort if it keeps the wife happy...
