Bw 1356

Looking around on the net I read somewhere that some of the early 90's BW1356 Tcases had a pulse output for an electric speedo on the output shaft housing (i think), what whould stop me from swapping an output shaft housing from a early 90's BW1356 on to my truck's 1356 (mine is a 93), i'm not even sure if my Tacse HAS the output shaft housing with what i need for the swap to the 9", as i have the tone ring in the rear axle for speed right now. Sorry if this is confusing, i really don't know much about the TCase, if someone can shed some light on this matter that would be helpful.
