Heat/AC changing modes randomly

Heat/AC changing modes randomly
When i have the heat blowing on defrost it will randomly change to another mode...It does it on all modes it will change or close the vents so nothing is coming out...It seems that when i get up to crusing speed it straightens out and works properly but when i slow down or stop it wiggs out again and changes to a different mode. Blower speeds all work correctly??? can anybody break the riddle??
