Is it possible to copy AE to another disc or anything so others could use it?
No. When you register your software, it locks the software to your cable. If you tried to use another AE cable even on your own computer, it still won't work.
They did this so that people would not illegally copy and distribute their software.
I often wondered that too.. I'd love to have the AE software, but can't justify the price right now.. would be nice to be able to split the cost with someone, but the cord issue would be the downfall of that
I did make back up copies of the disc just in case. I have it installed on two PCs but use the one connector with the PC I'm working with at the time.
I recently upgraded my Ford Bundle to the domestic bundle and Clay needed the number on my connector to get the codes for the upgrade.
Well i now have AE. It works on my PC just fine, but i need a cable to really test it and use it. Does anyone know where i can pick one up at?
You should have a cable with the package. If you got a copy of the disk from someone else, I would think the cable will cost the price of a complete package.
Well after much searching and contemplation about the AE or an itricate scanner to find a problem i found an AE i can use. its my brother inlaws computer he said i could use, but he dosent have or dosent know where the cable is or something. With him its hard to begin guessing where it went.
I am basically in the thought process of is it worth buying a cable now or waiting to get the money together for a whole new AE system for myself and have everything. Ill admit im letting my brain and actions wonder faster then i am thinking things out i guess. I dont know how the AE works so again im not even sure if you can just get a cable because of you guys saying they kind of mate to each other. Its all new to me.
I hate when i dont know about things ha it really brings anxiety.

Does your brother inlaw have the Ford bundle? If not, you will have to buy that anyway. Save for your own setup.
Yea i was talking to Clay about it and he explained alot. As far as the Ford bundle im not sure. But i determined to just save up for my own AE and when the time is right to strike on it then. But for now, I remain the little engine that wishes he could.
Well I had it set to my Dads house and joined the PA chapter and the leader questioned me because it said i was in another state. So i went and changed it to that because i didnt know where to put. Its only a 30 minute or so difference but Dad is in Ohio and mom is in PA.
