hi all, got another question bout the 97 f150 4x4. i figured out i needed to replace the head gasket and replace the heater core, but not a big deal. however my question not related to those, but my trans. it seems lazy shifting from 1st-2nd. all other shifts are good quick and firm, OD goes in a little firmer than normal (i think). its not every now and then but all the time. it kinda concerns me but since it consistant ive gotten used to it. any advise or pointers would be great. thanks, Doug

Is it just a lazy shift or is it slipping?
These trucks shift lazy when there new...lol
Most get a tuner to adjust the shift firmness but with that many miles, it could be a sign of wearing out.

That's what I was kida thinking, in the mustang world were I come from there's a thing called the "j-mod" its were drill the plate in the valve body in various points. That increses shift firmness and the speed of each shift. Can this be done to the 4r70 as well?
