e250 vs 350-difference
I was on a rv chat thread and it stated that the basic differences between an f250 and f350 where the blocks in the rear is this true and could someone elaborate. Also which is the best dually rear end to use? thanks Ghostgunn

F-250 has a 2" rear block and a 8800 GVWR
F-350 has 4" rear block and a 9900 GVWR
The DRW F-350 has a higher GVWR
Both SRW trucks have the same springs though.
On the dually rear, are you talking about which gears
The 4.10s are better for towing.

The F350 also has a slightly larger frame modulas, not much but I think it's 4.6 to 5.0, I traded in my f250 for an f350 dually and doubled the pin weight for my fifth wheel. 2400# VS 4800# if you have a 7.3L diesel . I believe the 4.10 is standard rear end for the dually.

SRW SDs from 99-01 had the Dana 50 front.
SRW SDs from '02 on had the Dana 60 front
SRW SDs all years had the Sterling 10.5" Rear.
DRW SDs all years had the Dana 60 front and Dana 80 rear.
Front springs depended on the suspension package, u-code, v-code, or x-code springs
There are dually conversion kits, but I don't know much about them.

Edit: Looks as though YETI is a faster typer.
