All excusions have them. And the 08+ trucks. Not sure on if it is all or just some though. If you tune your truck at least with a sct device there is protocol to go thru with the pats to get the tune. Not sure since I've never tuned my mustang with pats and my 06 dosent have it.

No protocol to go thru with my sct tuner when I got it. Just plug and play.
My '08 XLT does not have chipped keys. I had a couple of extras made at a hardware store and they work just like the originals.
I wonder if its something they phased in in 08 that some of them didnt get? My 09 definitely has them, and its just an XL. And only upgrades were mechanical (4x4, motor, crew cab etc) and nothing in terms of auto or electronic or creature comfort upgrades.
I can attest (first hand) that my '06 Harley-Davidson F-250 Super Duty had PATS. The dealership lost my owners manual, keyless entry remotes, and spare key when they picked it up from the rail yard. They cut a standard blank while they tried to find that missing package, but it was only good for opening the door & glove box. When I brought this up to the sales manager, he insisted that it was because the key was not cut quite right & went on at length about how tight the tolerances are in the ignition. It was entertaining as hell hearing him back-pedal when he tried the keys himself & found that the "generic" would turn in the cylinder, but would not start the truck.
I have heard mixed reports on some of the other high end Super Duties like the King Ranch. This seems to be limited to 2005 and newer, as I have not heard anything regarding PATS in a Super Duty in the earlier models.

I worked at a landscaping/lawn care company that had 2 Job 1 6.4s and they had a larger key than the older SDs but it wasn't a chip key. But the boss had an 09 6.4 that did have a chip key so I think that you're right. They started to put chipped keys in the SDs but it was probably an issue of parts availability in the Job 1 trucks or something like that.
I got a remote starter for my 02 f350 and it say i need a 791 bypass. Now my truck is all manual locks and window. I have two keys that opens and starts the truck and some time i could start it with out the key in. So does that mean i dont have the anti-theft crap like the new one do?? Any help would be nice!!!!

NOW that right there is another reason to stay away from the the PSD. Only need to do that for the 6 leakers, so another reason to be a V-10 fan.
Only if it was how we had to start 6.0's everyday would that make me ever consider a V-10 over the 6.0. I have nothing against V-10's or the guys who drive them, I just love 6.0's.
Back during high school, I used to pal around with a bit of a trouble maker and he was able to copy the key to his fathers 2004 Harley Davidson F150. When we wanted to sneak out in the (at the time) brand new HD F150 to impress the girls, he would start the engine with the remote start from the extra remote and put the copied non-chip key in the ignition and turn it on and we could drive the truck anywhere. As long as we had the extra remote we could always start it and use the copy key to turn the ignition on we'd be good. Lol. We felt like geniuses for figuring that out..
It likely had the chip placed near the ignition switch is why that worked. I havent seen a alarm that uses the factory type chips to disable the car. Ive seen several devices like the ravelco nut non as good as the ravelco for stopping theft. The remote actuated Alarms are personal property theft deterent devices that are easily defeated by criminals
