Changing key switch

Anyone know what's involved in changing the key switch on one of these trucks? Mine has been acting strange lately. It gets kinda stuck to where you have to turn the key forward a bit and then twist it back hard in order to get it to go to the off position. Plus the key can come right out of the switch no matter what position it is in.

Anyone know how to change one of these things? Trying to decide if it's worth it or not. Also do you think a new key switch would solve the issue or is it a larger problem?

The key has to be in the run position, then you reach up from the bottom side of the column with a very skinny screwdriver, awl, etc (something long and skinny... a small diameter drill bit would work) and push up on a pin that allows the tumbler assembly to slide out. The pin is accessed through the only hole in the plastic without a screw in it.

or just look here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ust-broke.html
