Well took alook under the truck yesterday and noticed oil on the steering stabilizer.. Wiped it off and this morning noticed oil on it again... Wiped it off drove it a bit and again it was covered in oil... So pulled into my buddies shop wiped it down and drove home.. And its dry... What are the chances it corrected itself??? Or could all of the hydraulic oil have leaked out??? Is there a test other than taking it out and compressing it??? Thanks again
Upgrade to a dual steering stabilizer. I think it is a needed upgrade. My plans are to install Frank's choice (Icon) or maybe Bilstein.
Not to hijack this thread, but I've been very pleased with the ICON setup. Installation was a snap. Couldn't be any easier. The only down side is the ICON bracket mounts to the differential at the cover and uses a couple of the cover bolts. I would like to install a mag-hytec cover when I change out the fluid but I'll have to mod the new cover to make it work with the ICON bracket because of the raised fins on the mag-hytec cover. I know, nothing major but something to consider.
I run bilstein .. I had a single rancho -- it was ok
Which Bilstein do you have? I'm lookin for something to match my 5100's. Bilstein does not make a zinc stabilizer for the 05 and up. I wanna stay with a single as I have a Mag tec Front cover on my truck.
sammy the factory stabilizer is so buried you don't really see it .. but the Rancho replacement for OEM is silver
I am posting my bilstein pic in a second

That's only on the coil sprung trucks. I don't think the OP said what year his truck was. That or I missed it. I have the Icon kit on my 04, and I love it. I went with the Bilstein shocks rather than the Icon brand. I heard they were just rebadged Bilsteins. That, and I personally didn't care for the little "Top Gun Customs" thingy.
At any rate, a dual stabilizer set u is the only way to go, IMO.
no! lol I copied that from ebay
I searched forever for a moderately priced dual setup that didn't come with cheap shocks
some were over 800$ ouch I think this is a good deal for opposing gas charged shocks?
but the more I look at it I think I am going to take off the centerpiece
Thank you Zmann, I'd go that route, but I have Mag Tec cover. Don't think it'd work. I'd like to replace mine as well. I was just hoping to match shocks.
