That's it.
I'm Beat.

Really didn't need to Clay Bar it. Smooth as silk afterwards.

I then used the Meguries NXT 2.0 polish. Went on and came off pretty easily. My truck was made in June, so I figured four months is long enough for the paint to properly harden. I do live in Texas and It gets pretty hot here.

Now, Can't wait for it to Rain....

I would post pics but I haven't taken any too dark outside anyway, and it's just an ugly old Brown truck,,,now with sparkles...

clay bar

you probablly didnt need to clay bar a 2011 texas truck because you don't have acid rain on your truck yet.that said ,it didm't hurt.a good clay bar and a good polish won't hurt, nice to have the energy though.

You do need to clay bar a new truck to get the rail dust off it from the train tracks. As for polish, I swear by Zaino.

Srkr, I used the clay bar on my truck about two and a half weeks after it was built, and when I was done the clay was really dirty. I also used the NXT 2.0 great stuff it really looks good. But you have to give it a lot of time to dry and it will come off easy.

x2 on Zaino. Can't beat the durability. Although its a lengthy process if you want to add multiple coats and kind of expensive adding the ZFX. In the end though its worth it.

Is it really worth it? It doesn't matter how well you take care of your truck. When you go to trade it in, you are going to get the same thing as the guy who never washed his and smoked in it. They could care less how well you maintained your truck.

Having said that, I like a nice clean truck and take pride in all my vehicles.

YES, to me it's worth it. This will be my last Ford truck. Gonna keep her for the "long haul"

My truck is MY office.

My 2007 I traded was mint. I just like to take care of things that I have.

Buy yourself a dual action buffer like this one Griot's Garage 6 inch Random Orbital Polisher, Dual action buffer, DA polisher with a lifetime warranty. Spend a little time on the Autogeek forum and you'll soon find what sealant, etc you want to use on the truck. Using a DA to apply waxes and sealants allows you to apply them correctly...*very* thinly...as well as being able to do an entire vehicle in no time at all. Also makes removal of the product a breeze.

I live around the corner from this place. May be time to take a ride on over and see what they have.
