leaf springs
im looking into stiffining up my rear end.
The previous owner got in an accident and the entire rear suspension has been replaced. It seems really soft. I cant even hold 1000lbs in the bed without the rear sagging a great deal.
What would be a good set of springs to put in?
I have a 2000 super crew 4.2 5 speed 4x2

I have 900lb add a leaf and that helped alot. But after buying a large trailer, i went with an air bag system. that was te best improvement.
I paid $200 for 2000lb of extra spring. And you can deflate them when your riding around empty so you dont have a rough ride.

the add a leaf was from davenport spring. I think it was $100.
I cant remember the brand of air bags i got. They where fron Arnolds Motor supply. They had them in stock. The air bags where very easy to install. Took me about 2 hours. Worst part is you have to drill 8 holes into your frame. But it was easy, and they bolted right in from there.
