Currently on my '67 2x4 to 4x4 conversion I only have rear lift springs. I decided to get another set of rear springs to lift my front.
I have Skyjacker 4" springs in the rear with a shackle flip, and no block. There is roughly 5" of total lift in the truck over a stock highboy if my calculations are correct.
So, what rear springs would I need to buy for my front? I know they need to be 3" wide, and I plan on totally eliminating my drop front hangers.
they arent 3 inches wide.... im running skyajcker rear 4inch lift springs with a long aal up front, and its great, gives me 6 inches with stock hangers
I think I am going to run a Superlift 5.5" rear spring up front with home brewed "stock" hangers. I will more than likely have to add a 2" block in my rear to level it out.
i wouldnt use those superllift springs, they only have three leaves and a flat overload...my buddy has a set on his 79 in the rer...they are waaay tooo soft for the front of a truck
I have a 78 f-250 4x4 and am wanting to raise it 3-4 inches. What would be the best and cheapest way to do it? I was told to go to the scrap yard and find 2 sets of rear springs and just replace the front ones and add the others directly to the rear???? Will that work or is someone feeding me bs?
first off, you hijacked someone elses thread. we are all talkin about using springs in the front and then you come and ask the age old, most annoying question ever *in urkel voice* "whats the best/least expensive way to lift my truck?"
secondly.... DO A FRIGGIN SEARCH! its been covered on MANY occasions!

Thomsen - thats what I'm looking for, just need to find some that aren't too soft. I really don't wanna dish out the cash for skyjackers, but I might have to yet
